Dr. Leilani Vidal-Calgaro

We’ve had so many incredible success stories; it was difficult to pick just one. However, a recent graduate who has accomplished many great things in a short period of time would be Dr. Leilani Vidal-Calgaro.

She enrolled in our esthetics certification program two years ago to enhance her wellness clinic’s offerings by adding skin care procedures. Despite numerous years in college including a post-graduate degree and doctorate, Dr. Leilani has said over and over again that her esthetics instructor Ms. Maxwell was the most inspiring and effective teacher she ever had and was the catalyst for her newfound success.

Because we are always on the lookout for the latest technologies to ensure our students are ahead of the game, Dr. Leilani participated in various demos such as air-brushing. But it was the lash extension demonstration that changed her career. Excited by learning this new procedure, she graduated from the Poway Academy and sought a position with Extreme Lashes. Within the year she became their lead national educator and reported over $90,000 in earnings from teaching this advanced technique in salons and workshops. Even more incredible than the fact that she was a recent graduate who moved quickly up the ladder, this income doesn’t even include her wellness clinic earnings!

In addition to adding skincare and eyelash extensions to her very successful health and wellness practice, she recently started her own educational business called “Glitz Now” to share her eyelash and brow extension knowledge with others interested in enhancing their offerings. Also, after being inspired by the esthetics certification program because it opened new doors, she has recently sought out and received certifications in several other areas including microdermabrasion, eyelash perming/tinting, etc.
